Mike Doyle (senior; Mechanical Engineering) started his “Swamp Troll Rock” band, British Phil, as a sophmore in 2008. The band has been comprised of many different musicians in the past two years…. from sax players to steel drummers to fiddle players. The current lineup includes Clayton Blunk who has been with the band for two years. He plays banjo, guitar and bass. He is a sophmore Aerospace Engineering student. Michael Rudolph joined the band in spring 2009 and plays fiddle and mandolin (he is a senior Engineering Science student). Tim Vitull, who joined last fall, is the lead guitarist. He is also a sophomore Civil Engineering student. The current drummer is Nate Etter (senior; public relations and political science). Also joining the band is beatboxer Caitlin Doyle, Rubberband’s frontman Dave Joyce and Jason O.
Matthew Whittle, also known as M. Jude, has been playing live shows since 2007. A resident of Bucks County, Pa., he offers an amiable blend of folk and pop, often garnering comparisons to such artists as Jon Brion, Jim James and Neutral Milk Hotel. Matthew has shared the stage with such national acts as Margot and the Nuclear So and Sos, Tilly and the Wall, Good Old War and Audrye Sessions.
