My Hero Zero to Play at Tussey Mountain Wing Fest, 7/29
Posted by Pat Baxter on 07/28 at 01:42 PM
Summer is winding down to its final weeks, but there’s still time to have some fun before the long daylight hours disappear into autumn oblivion. One way to enjoy the remainder of the summer is to head to Tussey Mountain for the Wing Fest Challenge.
Every Thursday through August 22, you can sample chicken wings from local restaurants, then vote for a winner. And to add more excitement, local bands take the stage each week.
This week’s music includes State College’s own My Hero Zero. From their website: “While always sounding like themselves, My Hero Zero rocks like Blink, punks like Green Day, and throws sick-beats like GaGa.” This is a round-about way of saying they’re a straight-forward pop/rock band whose sets consist mainly of top 40 rock covers. (Click here for playlist.)
Opening for My Hero Zero is the retro-rock band the Insomniacs.
Date: Thursday, July 29
