Rusted Root at the State Theatre on Monday

Rusted Root comes to the State Theatre this Monday, September 21st.
Over the course of their long career, Rusted Root had toured with The Grateful Dead, The Dave Matthews Band, The Allman Brothers Band, and Led Zeppelin’s Jimmy Page and Robert Plant. Now, after some time off, Rusted Root is back on the road in support of Stereo Rodeo, their first album in 7 years. With roots in Pittsburgh, the band formed in 1990 and has gone on to sell more three million records. Their sound could be described as a collaboration of acoustic guitars, African inspired rhythms, and world rock. As of this writing, tickets are still available.

Bio: Chelsea Sweithelm is a sophomore majoring in Public Relations with a minor in Business. When she isn't going to concerts, she is playing a game of lacrosse or hiking the trails of Pennsylvania. Chelsea enjoys all genres of music, but her favorite is a tie between Alternative Rock and Reggae. Her favorite bands include Kings of Leon, Fall Out Boy, Ryan Adams and Sublime. Also, Chelsea loves any song with a good drum solo because the drums are awesome.
