Strawberry Spinach Salad

This simple summer salad combines tender spinach leaves and fresh sliced strawberries with a sweet dressing and crunchy sunflower seeds.
Serve it alongside your favorite grilled meat.
Ingredients
1 lb spinach, washed and torn
1 pint strawberries, sliced
1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
1/2 cup vegetable oil
2 Tbsp sunflower seeds
1/2 cup sugar
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
1 1/2 tsp minced onion
Directions
Mix dressing ingredients in a small bowl and toss with spinach and strawberries. Serve with extra sunflower seeds for sprinkling.

This looks delicious, but the photo really looks like it’s made with sesame seeds. Could it be?

Thanks for the catch, Eleanor! I’ve made this salad with both sunflower seeds and sesame seeds, and it appears as though in this photo op I used sesame seeds. Please let me know if you have any of your own recipes to share with the Local Food Journey!
