Summer’s Best Music Fest Back in Action on Saturday

Posted by Pat Baxter on 06/23 at 03:39 PM

This week marked the first week of summer.  So it’s fitting that this Saturday, June 25, features an annual State College music event. That’s right, State College’s Summer’s Best Music Fest 2011 is back in action. Starting at 9am and ending around 9pm, the event will feature a mix of local cover bands and local original-music bands of every genre.  There will also be some out-of-town independent artists, including Jeffrey Gaines—the final act performing at 8pm on the Allen Street Stage.

But it doesn’t stop there.

Included in the festivities is the annual Downtown Bazaar featuring great deals from popular shops.  And you don’t want to miss Action Alley between Heister and Garner Street. There you’ll see a BMX showcase of five extreme stunts, produced by Rise Above Productions. You will also find PAW’s Canines on Calder Way, in addition to the Public Safety Zone in the Faith UCC parking lot.

Below is a list of the stages and the bands.  Also check out Summer’s Best website for more information.
