In order to place a bid online, you must agree to the terms of the auction.
- This online auction is being held in conjunction with the 18th Annual Connoisseur's Dinner and auction on February 20. Winning online bidder will be given the option to purchase a ticket to attend the live event (seats have been reserved) or make a pledge of $100 (nonrefundable) to have a proxy bidder participate in the live auction. Upon close of online auction, high bidder will be contacted by a WPSU representative.
- The high online bidder will set a maximum bid (if bidding by proxy). A WPSU representative will bid in increments of $50 from winning online bid up to chosen maximum bid. The online bidder will not be allowed to modify the maximum bid.
- If the online bidder wins the item at the live auction, he/she has 48 hours from the close of the live auction to pay for the item via credit card. If the cost of the item is not paid in full by that time, WPSU has sole control over the disposition of the item and may choose to offer the item to the second highest bidder, or to hold the item to re-auction at a later date.
- A WPSU representative will periodically verify identification of high bidders by phone. If bidder cannot be verified, WPSU reserves the right to remove the bid and or bidder profile.
All financial transactions will occur online with a credit card through the approved Penn State system. Only the credit card of the winning bidder will be charged. No refunds or returns.
The live auction will be video recorded and available on the WPSU website after the event.
