2013 Will Be Ellie Goulding’s Year
Posted by Mike Moynahan on 12/18 at 06:54 PM

Ellie Goulding arguably had one of the biggest breakout years music saw in 2012. Her single “Lights” finally began climbing the Billboard Hot 100 in August 2012 after spending more than enough time hovering around the bottom of the chart since it’s United States release in May of 2011. It seems as though it’s been everywhere ever since.

WPSU Looking Forward to Returning to Huntingdon for “Our Town” in February/March
Posted by Whitney on 12/17 at 10:48 AM
In 1997, WPSU visited Huntingdon for the 3rd installment of it’s “Our Town” series. As we get ready to return to this beautiful community along the Juniata River, this will be the 71st episode since the series began in 1996. We’ll be looking for stories about the people, places, happenings—past and present. What makes this community special? What brings everyone together? We want to hear all about the pride that neighbors share for Huntingdon and their surroundings. What’s changed since we last visited? What’s remained the same?

Asher Roth and The White Panda Bring The Party at Alumni Hall Last Friday
Posted by Brittany Barth on 12/10 at 12:38 PM

I hope you accepted my invitation to come out to the Asher Roth and The White Panda concert at Alumni Hall on Friday night. If you didn’t, then you made a mistake. Both Asher Roth and The White Panda established themselves as the new authorities of party music.
I was ecstatic over the fact I had been able to score a press/photo pass for the show courtesy of SPA. My VIP status enabled me to stand in front of the barricade, where I was up close and personal with the stage and the performers.

If you’re a fan of hip-hop diva Nicki Minaj and have anxiously been awaiting the arrival of her new material, look no further than her revamped album, Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded The Re-Up. It’s basically her sophomore album if it had taken a dose of steroids.

‘Tis The Season! Some Songs to Put You in the Holiday Spirit
Posted by Mike Moynahan on 12/06 at 07:21 PM

It’s that time of the year again, State College. Allen street looks spectacular adorned in lights and a full evergreen stands just outside the Allen Street gate. I see bright blue snowflakes on street lamps of Beaver Avenue as I walk to class each day and I could not be happier. With final papers, projects and exams looming over us, let’s take some time together to relax and enjoy some tunes before these next few weeks and think fondly about the family and friends who await us once we return home. Here are some Christmas/winter/holiday songs I hold very dear. I hope you might like them as well:

It’s been a while since KeSha, the wild child of pop music, has released any new material. The last single to air on the radio, entitled “Blow,” was back in 2011 from her EP, Cannibal.
