Join the Bellwood TV Project

Thanks for all the enthusiasm we’ve received in Bellwood! We’re still looking for stories for the Our Town: Bellwood public television project—-there’s still time to be a part of the program. We have 14 stories for the show and we’re looking for 10 more. No experience is required, just enthusiasm! This is a great opportunity to shine the spotlight on your community and share your stories with WPSU viewers in 29 counties.
Volunteers are currently working on stories about the John C Russin Funeral Home, Eagles, Hope Center, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, Bells Gap Trail, school activities, Hillside Church project, Growing up in Bellwood in 1920s, The Door, Excelsior Fire Company, & the Library.
Additional story suggestions that no one has claimed yet include the history of the town, the Bell family, local business profiles, stories about area churches, farm show, railroad history, Quilting Bee, Tuckahoe Street Fair, youth sports, community organizations, community park, and any other ideas about what makes Bellwood a great community.
Interviews will be held this Sunday at the library. Please call 814-863-6634 or 814-863-6224 to join the team. This is a great opportunity and everyone is invited to participate.
