WPSU Seeking Stories About Smethport, PA

Posted by Carley on 06/19 at 01:20 PM

WPSU and the “Our Town” television series is joining the Smethport community this summer to kickoff “Our Town: Smethport.” We are seeking stories from friends and neighbors within the Smethport community. What makes Smethport special to you? Our team is letting you decide what stories should be told about the people, places and happenings in your area! Whether you’re a longtime resident or recently joined the community there is a story waiting to be told.

Join us for the community meeting on Wednesday, July 16 at 6:00PM at the McKean County Courthouse, 500 W. Main Street, to learn more about the project.

During the community meeting we’ll talk about story ideas and get everyone to commit to being a part of the project. We’ll also discuss how to visually tell your story by capturing video and photos from your hometown for the project.

We welcome you to part with WPSU and the Smethport community to plan this program. No experience is required, just enthusiasm!

See these stores come to life during the broadcast premiere of “Our Town: Smethport” in October on WPSU-TV and wpsu.org
