WPSU’s Our Town Series Returns to Clearfield Thursday, July 26 To Plan The Project!

Posted by Whitney on 07/02 at 07:58 AM

Help WPSU producers plan the next installment of the popular Our Town series and make sure your story is included. The community meeting will be held Thursday, July 26 at 7:00 p.m. at the Clearfield Hospital Home Health Building at 440 Front Street. WPSU is looking for 25 individual community members to collect video footage and still photos to each showcase a story about Clearfield and then talk about each of their individual topics with a WPSU producer in a casual on-camera interview. These 25 stories will combine to create the “Our Town: Clearfield” program, which will be broadcast in October on WPSU-TV.

25 area residents with their personal camcorders or still cameras are needed to help create the program. WPSU-TV provides one-hour of blank videotape for each volunteer in the format of his or her choice. No experience required or age restrictions, and no cost to participate …  just enthusiasm!

All participants must register prior to the taping day. Volunteers are asked to attend a pre-production organizational & training meeting, held in Clearfield on Thursday, July 26, to answer any questions about the project, select topics/stories to videotape, and schedule interviews.  From the stories discussed at the meeting, each volunteer will receive one story topic.
