The Altoona Storytellers League opened their 2010-2011 year with a picnic and meeting at Point View, near Williamsburg.  The theme for the year is American Indian Life, Customs and Traditions.  Membership in the league is now open to anyone who is or wants to be a storyteller.  The league is also looking for opportunities to tell stories and will send volunteers storytellers to group meetings, family gatherings, and other events in the Altoona, Pa area.  For more information,call 814-695-0776.  The next meeting will be held at St. James Lutheran Church in Altoona on Saturday, October 2, 2010 at 2 PM.
