Association for India’s Development is proud to present Bollywood Night 2010—a night of Bollywood singing, fun, Indian street food, palmistry and much more on Friday, September 10, 2010. The main event for the night will be a Bollywood concert by the Washington DC based Indian music group Dhwani. The group includes prominent singers like Jaishree Sankaran and Suresh Krishnaswamy. Jaishree has sung with famous musicians like Yesudas, Biju Narayanan (Malayalam playback singer) and P.B.Srinivas. In addition to the main concert, the event will also feature performances by State College community’s own music and dance talent.

As Shakespeare pointed out, music is food for love. However, there’s more food at Bollywood Night than just music. There will be plenty of entertainment for your taste buds with Indian street food. Additionally a palmistry booth will be there for the future-curious!

Apart from the evening of fun, this event also marks the start of the unique fundraiser, Sing for India. Here all the performers for the event solicit donation from everyone not only to cheer them up for a great performance, but also to support projects in India.
