Central Mountains Region Antique and Custom Auto Show

It’s time once again for the Central Mountains Region, A.A.C.A. Antique and Custom Auto Show, which is on schedule for Sunday, August 23rd, rain or shine, at the Clearfield County Fairgrounds. Antique, classic, unrestored and custom cars, trucks and motorcycles may compete for trophies in seventeen classes. Vehicles will be displayed in classes in the grove, where they will be judged by the participants. Hosting club members’ cars will not be judged and are ineligible to win trophies.
To show a vehicle the registration fee is $5. Admission and parking are free to the public. D & J Rocks will provide music of the fifties and sixties. An indoor and outdoor flea market is planned and a variety of food concessions are expected. Raffle, 50-50 and door prize tickets will be offered for sale.
Three trophies per class are to be awarded. Show vehicle classes are as follows: Class A., production cars and trucks to 1931; Class B., production cars 1932-42; Class C., production cars 1943-54; Class D., production cars 1955-59; Class E., production cars 1960-67; Class F., production cars 1968-75; Class G., production cars 1976-84; Class H., production cars 1985-94; Class I., production commercial to 1994; Class J., 2-seater sports cars to 1994; Class K., most original unrestored 1900-84; Class L., street rods to 1948; Class M., modified cars 1949-69; Class N., modified cars 1970-94; Class O., all modified trucks/vans to 1994; Class P., American brand motorcycles all years to present and Class Q., foreign brand motorcycles all years to present.
The following additional trophies will be awarded: People’s Choice, Oldest Vehicle Mayor’s Trophy, President’s Trophy and the A.J. Ross Sr. Memorial Post-War Vehicle Award.
Registration will be open from 9:00 A.M. till noon. Each vehicle registered must contain a working fire extinguisher. Trophy presentations will begin at 3:00 P.M. The owner of each registered vehicle will receive a commemorative dash plaque and a goodie bag at registration while supplies last.
