Children with Learning Disabilities: How Do They Learn?

WHERE & WHEN: Thursday, September 16 at the Galen and Nancy Dreibelbis Auditorium, Mount Nittany Medical Center, Entrance E, 1800 East Park Ave., State College, PA. Buffet dinner at 6:00 pm; Presentation at 6:30 pm. Fee: $25 physician; $15 PA, RN, LPN, or other. Presentation by Barbara Hong, PhD, Associate Professor of Special Education, Department of Education, Human Development and Social Sciences, The Penn State University, Altoona, Pa. The program will cover the differences between learning disabilities and learning difficulties; ways to identify the characteristics of children with learning disabilities; appropriate assessment procedures; and effective treatments for children with learning disabilities.
