Cynthia Berger will be the featured speaker at the Nittany Valley Writers Network meeting. Berger, director of public affairs programming at WPSU-FM, will discuss the challenges and rewards of writing for public radio. WPSU listeners will recognize Berger’s voice from “Sports that are not Football,” “Bookmark,” or the award-winning series, “Pennsylvania Radio Expeditions.”  In addition to writing for locally produced shows, Berger has written hundreds of scripts for internationally distributed science radio programs, more than 100 magazine articles on birding and biology, and books on dragonflies and owls.
