Juniata College is
hosting it’s annual Empty Bowls event this Saturday, April 10 from 5-7 p.m. at the Stone Church in Huntingdon, PA. This is a charitable event, where all proceeds are donated to Huntingdon county food banks; although WPSU’s home
is in Centre county, the event is open to anyone! Empty Bowls is a nation-wide effort to
increase awareness of hunger in our country.

Cost of admission ($10) will allow attendees to pick out the perfect
handcrafted bowl to fill with delicious homemade soup provided by local
restaurants. All proceeds help to fill the pantry shelves of organizations
that work to prevent hunger in Huntingdon County. Attendees keep the bowl, designed and crafted by local students, potters, and community members as a
memento to remind us of those whose bowls are empty.
