First Thursday Opera: “Divide Light”

Film

7:00 p.m.

Film: 82 minutes, not rated

Divide Light is a new opera conceived and directed by Lesley Dill and composed by Richard Marriott. The inspirational core of the music, projections, and costumes in this film version is the language of poet Emily Dickinson. The set—an installation of projected language and Dill’s evocative photographs—serves as a stunning backdrop for Marriott’s transcendent and virtuosic score.

Co-sponsored by the museum and the Penn State Opera Theatre.
