The Siegfried of the award-winning Scottish Opera Ring cycle began his career under the tutelage of Gian-Carlo del Monaco (artistic director of Oper der Stadt Bonn and frequent guest director at The Metropolitan Opera) in Bonn, Germany, in 1992. While there, he sang the role of Roy Bento in Gomes’ Il Guarany for the Sony recording with Placido Domingo. Since then, Graham has sung on 4 continents, and in many leading international opera houses and festivals, including The Lyric Opera of Chicago (Siegmund in Die Walküre), The Edinburgh International Festival (Siegfried in Siegfried and Siegfried in Die Götterdämmerung), The Budapest Spring Festival (Otello in Otello), and Dresden’s renowned Semper Oper (Laca in Jenufa).

Even though Graham has become a specialist in the lengthy, dramatic roles of Richard Wagner, he is also at home in the Italian or Slavic repertoire, as his portrayals of Otello, Canio (I Pagliacci) and Laca (Jenufa) attest.

Franz Schubert’s Der Winterreise will be performed.
