In honor of the International Women's Day, the University Office of Global Programs (UOGP)and the Center for Women's Students will host the annual International Women's Day Breakfast from 8:30 to 10 a.m. on March 16 in Heritage Hall at the HUB-Robeson Center on Penn State's University Park campus. At the event, Ann Tickamyer, professor of rural sociology and head of the Department of Agricultural Economics and Rural Sociology, will speak on "Women in Disaster Relief and Recovery." The breakfast is open to the public and will cost $10 per person. Up to six women from the University Park campus and the local community who promote international activity in a variety of ways will be honored for their contributions with Spirit of Internationalization awards.
