The Nittany Mineralogical Society is having a presentation on Lapidary (gemstone carving) by Dr. Robert Altamura, a geologist with the Club.  He will discuss and demonstrate the methods and art of gemstone carving and polishing at the March monthly juniors meeting.  Both kids and adults are welcome.  A variety of minerals and rocks will be discussed and exhibited.  A souvenir serpentine gemstone will given to kids that attend.
