October 05- LECTURE - Central Pennsylvania Civil War Roundtable Presents:  Dr. Janice S. McElhoe will speak on “Shadows of War – Prelude to the First Memorial Day.” This presentation describes events in Boalsburg before and during deployment of Company G of the 148th Pennsylvanians to the Civil War.  It follows the young soldiers and their families through the excitement of going to war and the increasingly difficult years of the Civil War that culminated in the observance of the first Memorial Day.  Free Admission – 7:00 p.m.
