Lecture: “I Heard a Voice: The Art of Lesley Dill”
Lectures
4:30 p.m.
The words of poet Emily Dickinson and themes of vision, ecstasy, and bliss permeate artist Lesley Dill’s prints, photographs, sculpture, large-scale installations, and performance art. In this presentation, Dill will discuss the total range of her body of work and include a seven-minute selection from her opera Divide Light, the self-proclaimed pinnacle of her artistic career.
Co-sponsored by the museum, the Penn State School of Visual Arts John M. Anderson Endowed Lecture Series, and the Department of Art History.
