Lecture: “Roger Fry: Art and Life in Bloomsbury”

Christopher Reed, associate professor of English and visual culture

The painter, critic, and art historian Roger Fry was a central member of Bloomsbury, although he was a generation older than the others in the group. Reed will discuss Fry’s aesthetic theories, their impact on his friend Virginia Woolf, and their relationship to his unconventional biography.
