MILITARY HISTORY SPEAKERS SERIES LECTURE:  “U.S. Interventions and Building the Rule of Law”

Art & Museum Exhibits

7:30 pm

September 27 – MILITARY HISTORY SPEAKERS SERIES LECTURE:  “U.S. Interventions and Building the Rule of Law”  As the U.S government has intervened in crises around the world, it has become evident that “Rule of Law” is necessary to replace lawlessness, rule by dictator’s decree, and human rights atrocities.  No mater how constricted the military mission at the outset, Afghanistan, Iraq and all the state peace operations have forced an expanded role in rebuilding efforts.  “. . . military interventions that do not ultimately rebuild rule of law in post-conflict societies are doomed to undermine their own goals.”  Daniel L. Rubini, COL (Ret)  Free Admission - 7:30 p.m.
