The 17th Annual Nittany Valley Handbell Festival Concert will be held at 7:30 pm on April 10, 2010, at the State College Area High School, North Gymnasium. Guest conductor this year will be Kath Wissinger. Ms. Wissinger is a church musician, clinician, teacher and composer who has long been active in handbells. Kath is known for her direct teaching style and for teaching theory and musicality while directing from the podium. She has directed the teen handbell group at her church since 1988 and also teaches middle high handbell classes at a small private school. She has over 50 compositions in print.
