see description

Would you like to learn how to peacefully deal with daily conflicts? Are you interested in improving your cooperation or communication skills? The Alternatives to Violence Project is offering a 3-day workshop October 29th, 30th and 31st. AVP is an experiential program, helping people to transform their lives through personal understanding, affirmation, community building, conflict resolution and cooperation. Founded and developed through the life experiences of prisoners and community members in 1975, AVP encourages every person’s innate power to improve themselves and their community. The workshop will be held on Friday night from 5:30 to 9:30; Saturday from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM; and Sunday from 1:00 to 5:00 PM at the State College Friends Meeting: http://statecollegefriends.org/. Participants are expected to attend all sessions and meals will be provided. The cost for the weekend is $30 and scholarships are available upon request. For more information and to register, contact the Central Pennsylvania chapter of AVP at .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address).
