The charismatic young stars of Y Tu Mama Tambien Diego Luna (Rudo) and Gael Garcia Bernal (Cursi) star as two soccer playing brothers from dusty central Mexico who are discovered by a cunning scout whose car has broken down. He gives the brothers a chance to play “football” (as it’s known in the rest of the world) for two different teams, although Cursi would much rather be a famous singer. Their ups and downs infuse this comedy-drama with laughter and pathos.
