Poet Dawn Lundy Martin to speak in Libraries

Poet Dawn Lundy Martin will speak at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 20, in Foster Auditorium, room 101 Pattee Library, on Penn State’s University Park campus. Martin is the author of “A Gathering of Matter/A Matter of Gathering,” which won the 2006 Cave Canem Prize. In introducing this volume, author Carl Phillips commented on the book, “From the very start of reading Dawn Lundy Martin’s [book], I found myself simultaneously drawn to how language is here deployed on the page, confounded by it, and slowly, steadily instructed by it.”
