Public Wilderness First AId Course

Classes/Workshops

Saturday, November 21, 2009 8:00 AM

Wilderness First Aid (16 hours) – not your average First Aid class---this course takes the care to austere environments and deals with everything from wound and fracture care to stings, bites, toxins and poisonous vegetation to survival probabilities to wilderness extrication and MUCH more. Our updated 2 day course covers classroom lecture/practical and culminates to a full day drill in the woods offsite through practical applications and real wilderness medical scenarios the students must work as a team through to save their patient(s). This class will be the basic entry level class for our expanded Wilderness Medical program for 2010 which is slated to include an advanced level of wilderness first aid or first responder and several adjunct courses including two (2) survival courses, a wilderness extrication course, and many other short support courses. This is also the last time we will offer this course at this price as it increases by $20.00 per student in 2010. Book now and enjoy the fall, some fun and some good information and skills. Call our Training Center at 814-237-0774 with questions or to reserve your space in class. Seating is very limited.
