Professional football struggles to establish its place in America in this 1920s romantic comedy. Dodge Connolly (Clooney) attempts to draw in the hearts of Americans to the sport he knows and loves. Pairing with a collegiate wonder-boy Carter Rutherford on the field Connolly hopes to save the failing league.
