Jeremy Black
Jeremy Black is a Professor of History at the University of Exeter England. He received his Ph.D. from Cambridge in 1993. His works cover African, European, American, Asian, and Middle-Eastern histories, as well as International Relations and British Political history. As a prolific writer, he is the author of 99 books. He has received numerous awards and recognitions, including being a senior fellow at the Center for the Study of America and the West at the Foreign Policy Research Institute, a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts, and a past Council member of the Royal Historical Society. He was appointed to the Order of Membership of the British Empire—
—for services to stamp design and served on a number of editorial boards including the Journal of Military History, the journal of the Royal United Services Institute, and History Today. He has lectured extensively in Australia, Canada, Denmark, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, New Zealand, and the USA, where he has held visiting chairs at West Point, Texas Christian University, and Stillman College. His lectures reflect a global coverage on world history and rivalry among powers like China, India, Japan and other emerging countries in the world.
