Tour and Workshop: “Paint Your Own Bloomsbury Plate!”

Art & Museum Exhibits

3:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.

The Bloomsbury artists surrounded themselves with patterns and decorations on all number of available surfaces and objects—including commercially produced ceramic blanks. In the summer of 1913, Roger Fry urgently invited his friend Duncan Grant to come help paint ceramics in preparation for the opening of the group’s Omega Workshops. We extend a similar invitation to you as we offer a tour of the Bloomsbury exhibition followed by a trip to 2000 Degrees for china painting à la Bloomsbury.

The tour and workshop are free, but participants must purchase their own wares from 2000 Degrees. Transportation is not provided. Preregistration is required. Please contact the curator of education at .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) or 814-863-9188 to register.

Supported in part by Foxdale Residents Association.
