Norman G. Finkelstein will be part of a panel to discuss aspects of the Palestine/Israel conflict and U.S. foreign policy in the Middle East at 7 p.m. Monday Nov. 2, in 117 Hetzel Union Building, Penn State’s University Park campus. The event will be moderated by Arthur Goldschmidt, professor emeritus of middle east history at Penn State. Finkelstein, an American political scientist and the son of Holocaust survivors, specializes in Jewish-related issues and was most recently a professor of political science at DePaul University. He is the author of “The Holocaust Industry,” “The Rise and Fall of Palestine” and “Beyond Chutzpah.” The event is sponsored by the Students for Justice in Palestine, International Affairs and Debate Association, Leftist Symposium, Lational American Student Association and the Progressive Student Alliance.
