University Libraries Host Tours and Open House on Parents and Family Day

On Saturday, October 2, at 12:15, 1:15 and 2:15 p.m., the University Libraries will host guided tours of the Pattee and Paterno Libraries, beginning in Mann Assembly Room, 103 Paterno Library.
Visit Pattee and Paterno Libraries to discover what defines a modern research library, from the marvels of technology and digital materials to the enduring tradition of scholars and books. At the Business Library, learn how subject specialists can help your student achieve academic success and explore the “Career Corner.” Visit the newly renovated Reading Room, a comfortable space housing leisure reading materials, and the brand new Maps Library, which offers a wide range of print and digital maps and software. The Special Collections Library on the first floor of Paterno will offer information highlighting Penn State and local history materials, plus an exhibit on “Student Traditions.”
Other exhibits in the Libraries included “Banned Books: the Freedom to Read, the Freedom to Think,” in the Diversity Studies Room, 109 Pattee Library.
