Dr. Paul Rose examines how Wagner imprinted antisemitic ideas and feelings in the operas - plots, language, characters, and the music itself. Illustrated with DVD excerpts from Rheingold, Siegfried, and Meistersinger. Ensuing discussion may include general issues on Wagner, antisemitism, Hitler and the Holocaust, as well as current developments at Bayreuth, in Israel and Los Angeles.
