Penn State’s Whiplash Dance Team is hosting the first annual RAISE performing arts benefit show.  The proceeds for this year’s performance will benefit the John F. Carothers Scholarship Fund.  This fund has been set up in memory of John Carothers who passed away last year due to complications from multiple sclerosis.  Mr. Carothers, a graduate of Penn State University, was passionate about higher education. This fund will set up scholarships that will be awarded to students attending Penn State University.
    Many local dance studios, professional dance companies and Penn State University dance groups will be participating in this event so it should be a great show and a rare opportunity for the local dance community to come together for a performance and to support a worthy charitable foundation.
    We are hopeful that you will join us for this upcoming event, which celebrates dance and our community working together for a worthwhile cause.
