“Every political issue is a woman’s issue; and each woman must take a stan! d for herself.” The Huntingdon Branch of the American Association of Universtiy Women will welcome Karen Allen to campus on Thursday, September 16 from 7:00-8:30 p.m. in Brumbaugh Academic Center C116 to offer her thoughts on this issue. As the former State Membership Vice President of AAUW in Maryland and State President in Pennsylvania, Karen will share her experience with and perspectives on the ways in which AAUW works to achieve its mission to advance equity for women and girls through advocacy, education, philanthropy, and research. Please join us for an evening of education for activism and bring a friend or three. If you choose to join AAUW at this event, you will receive a discount of almost $25 off your dues for the year.
