Know a song that would be perfect on Father’s Day?

Let me know!

Just opened a new John Smith CD with the song “Father’s day”  Sounds good,  and I hope to get in on in the 2nd hour of the Folk Show.

That “tug on the line”  phrase in the song “That’s my dad” really packs a punch….

Erik Balkey presented the perspective of a young child in My Spider Man”  I hope to have room for Enoch Kent’s “My Father’s War,”  which shows an older son’s perspective,  much less positive about war….

Thanks, Ben,  I think….
Wanted to play Robin and Williams,  but for some reason when I burn a CD as an MP3,  some songs get skipped entirely,  with no warning!

Curious to see how well Caro Papa seques into “Chicken Ridge”  doesn’t appear to be a great match,  but I did preview it…..

Kind of glad to have a break from the summer/father’s day theme.

Shoot—blew right by the NPR newcast.  Got mixed up with the Sat and Sun formats.. Listened in cue,  though,  nothing earth shaking.  The Bahgram airbase has already been reported multiple time.  Something about some politician accepting a used pickup truck from a car dealer to do campaigning—think it was from England, though.

But then I followed Johnny Cash gospel song with “the first Cowboy song”  I meant to play “Don’t Drink upstream from the herd….maybe better this way.,..

Since the old CD players didn’t display the time count-down on .mp3’s i got in the habit of making everything a .CDA- and I never had any problems. Still, if i did .mp3’s i could cut the number of CD’s i need to make from 4 to 2. Do the new players count down in that format?
