Dave Van Ronk tunes, as well as the African music selections from Africa and the Weavers rendition of traditional music…

It’s sometimes difficult to discern folk music from around the world, however, with a little research, it is quite interesting to discover the past in folk music from other cultures.  It was fascinating to listen to a tune created from an old folk story by a modern day griot…or shaman.

I was listening to it on a hand held radio while picking raspberries out at the camp. The music was so good that I picked enough berries to make a pie, and I was just trying to get enough for waffles for three.

...by the by guys…I enjoy playing music, but when I hear what others have done, I’m rather left standing in the corn…so glad I’ve such a good selection of referrals to look at on your playlists so I can play all the good stuff I hear on your shows!
