Most everytime I host the Folk Show,  I include some western swing.  I love the fiddling,  the beat, the sometimes over-the-top vocals.  I’m hosting 1-5 this Saturday afternoon,  and after hearing an NPR story  this morning about the Western Swing Camp in Goobee TX,  I’m thinking about giving western swing a bit more prominence than usual.  Bob Wills, Hank Thompson, Light Crust Doughboys, Alvin Crow, Johnny Gimble,  Asleep at the Wheel…. Who else would you suggest?  And does anybody have a source for the late Bobby Boatright,  for whom the Tx festival is named?
