Great Big Sea is coming to the State Theatre in State College Wed Sept 22. (SEE the Calendar info on the Folk Show Home page for all the details.)  By special arrangement with the artist,  WPSU will be offering tickets to the show as a thank you for contributions to WPSU’s upcoming fundraising campaign.  Folk Show host Thad Will,  and membership director Pat Smith will be in the studios,  playing the usual wide range of folk music, and asking listeners to jump start the October fundraising campaign. Tune in Saturday afternoon from 1 to 5 to hear a sampling of music from Great Big Sea,  and help WPSU raise the money it takes to keep high quality programming on the air (and internet !).

I’m glad there are tickets to give away for pledges because $35 is a lot of money to hear what I can hear on the Folk Show for free. I’d have to give up Starbucks for three days just to recoup my money not to mention the 8 dollar Yuengling beers inside.
