For those that haven’t heard yet, Buddy Miller, the great singer, songwriter, guitarist, multi-instrumentalist, recording artist and producer suffered a heart attack after his show with Emmylou Harris at the Meyerhoff Symphony Hall in Baltimore, Maryland last week. He is recovering at Johns Hopkins Hospital after undergoing triple bypass surgery.

Latest reports are good for our 56 year old friend. I know you all join me in wishing Buddy a speedy recovery.

Buddy and his singer/songwriter wife Julie Miller have a new duo CD due to be released on New West Records on March 3rd.

Art:  Thanks for the update—I’ve read a few show reviews that mentioned no “buddy” on the 3 Girls tour.  Glad to hear he’s on the road to being OK…  it’s been a tough month for good songwriters…  Peter Case just had a heart attack, too, and had bypass.  Adam

Yeah, we caught them at the Forum in H’burg and it was a great show; Buddy was playing his ass off and Emmylou was talking about them playing without him that upcoming Sunday as he was appearing at the Grammys with Alison and Plan. I hope his recovery is speedy, he’s a rare talent, for sure.
