Jack Hardy, songwriting mentor to many, 1947-2011

New York singer songwriter Jack Hardy passed away yesterday. You may well have never heard of Jack, but many fans of the Folk Show will know artists he had a direct influence on as they developed as artists - Gorka, Colvin, David Wilcox, Richard Shindell, Richard Julian. For years Jack hosted songwriters from obscure locals to national touring artists in his SOHO apartment, in an environment of pasta and feedback.
