The group headed up by Dave Shiflet from Richmond called the Karma Farmers [Don’t you just love that name?] Their new CD is in the file cabinet. I recommend the song about a sailor.

What’s the name of the new CD?

I’ve been buisted. OK it is new to me but it might be from 2007. The CD is called Songs for Aging Cynics. There is a female voice that is just awesome on several tracks. The songs that I like so much, is called The Old Sailor.

I heard her voice in a song I heard on myspace under folk music one day while trolling for new music. I contacted Dave Shiflet, the leader of the group and he sent the CD to us. They are down in Richmond VA and he says they will play up here in the summers at festivals.  They all have other jobs to pay the bills.
