Mike Regenstreif’s latest blog post is reporting that Jesse Winchester is fighting cancer of the esophagus.
Says he’s canceled all his July performances but is expecting to be back to it in September.
The ABC show was amazing, and he was such a gentleman. I left thinking that anyone could write songs like that. He does that to everyone. So simple, so eloquent, so sincerely delivered. He makes it look easy. It ain’t easy. A quiet genius.
