Tickets will be only $15 ($8 for students) at the door, general seating, at Fisher Auditorium (point your GPS or Mapquest or Google Maps to 403 South Eleventh Street, Indiana, PA 15705-1008—and you’ll find yourself right beside Fisher Auditorium). Though we expect a big crowd, it won’t sell out, so you can just show up that night and you’ll be fine. If you do want to buy a ticket in advance, call 724-357-1313 after February 20 and during the daytime. Honored by the Folk Alliance as 2010’s #1 folk artist, Si Kahn (http://sikahn.com/about.shtml) has released sixteen albums (http://sikahn.com/discography.shtml) during the past forty years. Originally from State College, Si moved to the South nearly a half-century ago to work in the Civil Rights movement. He has worked as a community and labor organizer in the coal fields and textile mills and he is the founder of Grassroots Leadership, an organization dedicated to social justice. A celebrated songwriter, his song “Aragon Mill” (http://wn.com/Si_Kahn) has been covered by over 30 other musicians. His songs cover a wide range of topics including civil rights, women’s rights, labor and race relations, community organizing, war and peace, the environment, politics, and his own personal experiences (http://www.realpeoplesmusic.com/files/sidvd.mpg).
