While everyone has their favorite character, there were some that were more popular than others and
remain memorable in their own right. One of the most hated/loved recurring charactersin the Jerry
seinfeld episodes was Newman. As Kramer’s frequent
partner in crime and Jerry’s nemesis, he was also the show’s most frequent guest star to point that he
often seemed like a fifth member of the core group. His main theme of always trying to cook up new get
rich quick schemes with Kramer, different ways to torment Jerry and new strategies to capture a line to
tension generally failed, but were fascinating nonetheless.
