Meant to Post this earlier,  but the week has been busy.  Here are a few of the things coming on Sunday 11 to 1 on the Folk Show—I’m hosting

A cut or two from the 1981 Claudia Schmidt CD Midwestern Heart LP (yes,  the big vinyl thingy..)  I was downtown State College at Webster’s Book Store,  and there it was in Josh Fergo’s collection of used LP’s.  Absolutely beautiful shape,  and all of $4 !  Since Claudia will be at Elk Creek on April 30,  I just couldn’t resist.

A Bob Dylan song in honor of his 33rd Album coming soon.  Thanks ARt for the heads up.

SteelEye Span (another Webster’s/Fergo LP !

Songs from just a FEW of the artists coming to Merlefest this year:
Bearfoot
The Duhks
Sam Bush
The Carolina Chocolate Drops
BeauSoleil avec Michael Doucet
Doc Watson
Rory Block
Roy Book Binder
David Bromberg
Cadillac Sky
Pat Donohue
Wayne Henderson
The Kruger Brothers

Tune in or check back here to find out how to win tickets to Merlefest!

And of course you’ll hear contemporary singer-songwriters, bluegrass, old-time, celtic, blues, world,  etc, etc!

Can’t wait to hit the on-air button!

Sounds like a great show, Mel.  I look forward to tuning in.

Lots of my favorites there including one of the all time greats, David Bromberg.  Happy to say that we have him booked for the Wagon Shed Concert Series in June.

Glad to hear someone is keeping those LPs alive.  Do you remember when the word was to put butter on them to keep the scratch sounds down?  .... not a good idea.
