Michigan ensemble Lindsay Lou and the Flatbellys presents jazz inflected instrumentals, and traditional American themes, with an unvarnished glee. We hear them as the sounded on Sept 28th in the WPSU studios. The second hour features Italian guitarist Beppe Gambetta. He’s still rooted in Genoa, IT, but his love of America and its music has brought him to maintain a second residence on the East coast and regular tour our country featuring Italian and Moravian folk, as well as traditional and new American roots music. He’s recorded with such luminaries as Norman Blake, Doc Watson, and Tony MacManus. We’ll hear him from an October 17th appearance in University Park as part of the Acoustic Brew Concert Series.
