He served for two years in the time between the Korean and Vietnam Wars. The pair came from Lancaster County to record this interview.

The recent flooding in Pakistan would seem to be an ideal opportunity for the State College Muslim community to offer help. In the halls of my elementary school in Massachusetts, there was a poster that said, “Life is a journey, not a race.” From kindergarten through fifth grade, I walked by that poster every day. I read it a thousand times, but I never really understood what it meant.

I sometimes forget I have an older sister. She passed away before I was born, but that doesn’t mean I don’t have a sister. I didn’t know about her until I was 12 years old. But now I think of her often.
